RCC's John Facella authored the article "Thinking of FirstNet: Educating the Future Users of the Public Safety Broadband Network Now" in the January/February issue of IMSA. The article provides useful advice on how states can start their Broadband outreach efforts now to prepare first responders for the reality of FirstNet.

RCC kicked off our Broadband Conversations series with the white paper "Broadband Conversations #1: Progress in Thinking, Poverty of Thought: The Dangerous Inconsistencies of FirstNet and the NTIA." The paper is the first in a series designed to spark conversation about the issues related to broadband for the public safety community. August 2: Watch Our NG9-1-1 Presentation and Visit Us at APCO 2013 from Aug. 18-21
RCC is proud to be both an exhibitor and featured presenter at APCO 2013 in Anaheim, CA from August 18-21. RCC's Terry Wright will present "The Impact of Texting to 9-1-1 on Staffing and Grade of Service" as part of the NG9-1-1 Professional Development Track. April 25: RCC's Broadband Experts will be Featured Panelists at APCO Public Safety Broadband Summit
Two of RCC's broadband experts will be panelists at the APCO Public Safety Broadband Summit May 13-14. RCC's Dominic Arcuri will participate in Business Modeling/Benchmarking; Governance Policy and Management on May 13 at 1:45 p.m. RCC's John Facella will participate in Cybersecurity for Public Safety: Protecting Data on May 14 at 2 p.m. Click here to learn more about the Summit.
April 8: RCC Files Reponse to NIST on Cybersecurity

March 21: RCC Moderating NYC In-Building Wireless Conference Panels
RCC's Doug Fishman and Robert Lopez will moderate panels at the sold-out NYC In-Building Wireless Conference March 28. Mr. Fishman will moderate "RF DAS + Small Cell Performance and Quality Validation" at 1 p.m., and Mr. Lopez will moderate "Public Safety and E911 Indoor Location Accuracy" at 2:15 p.m. The Conference is intended to inform attendees about integrating in-building wireless (DAS, Small Cell, WiFi and Location Based Services) into their building design. February 12: RCC Releases White Paper on SLIGP Guidance
To assist states in preparing to take advantage of the State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP), RCC has released the white paper "The State and Local Implementation Grant Program in Support of the National Public Safety Broadband Network and A Suggested Process for Addressing that Program." February 6: NTIA Announces $121.5M Grant Program for FirstNet Planning
All 56 states and territories are eligible to receive funds to assist with FirstNet planning through the State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP). But the March 19 deadline is coming fast. Learn more about the SLIGP and how RCC can help your state apply for and make the most of these grant funds.
