The Project

The City of Des Moines contracted RCC to perform a needs assessment, develop procurement documents and assist with the implementation of Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), a Records Management System (RMS) and a Mobile Data Computer System (MDCS) to serve all City public safety agencies.

 

RCC's Role

RCC provided many important services for the City of Des Moines during this project, including:

 

  • Developed design alternatives for CAD, RMS and MDCS for review and selection.
  • Developed detailed design documents to form the technical requirements of the procurement document.
  • Prepared a turnkey RFP procurement document, which the City released.
  • Assisted the City in analyzing and evaluating vendor proposals.
  • Assisted the City in contract negotiations.
