Question:

Why is your software the best software on the market?

Answer:

Several reasons.

1. Our software is the only software on the market specifically designed to help identify, analyze, locate and resolve radio frequency interference (RFI) that could affect the safe and efficient operation of wireless communication systems.
2. Our software has been field tested and approved by hundreds of site managers, communications engineers, technicians and consultants throughout the world for over 10 years.
3. We don’t just provide “worst case” analyses, but allow you to more accurately model real world situations
4. We provide the most detailed engineering analysis available.

Question:

What do you mean by identify, analyze, locate and resolve radio frequency interference?”

Answer:

While some competitors may provide analyses that can help identify possible interference issues, ComSitePro will allow you to more precisely identify interference issues, analyze the cause of those issues, locate the precise equipment involved and conduct what-if analyses to resolve the interference.

Question:

What do you mean by accurately model real world situations?”

Answer:

While some competitors only allow you to model worst-case analyses, ComSitePro will allow you to more precisely model real world scenarios. For example, ComSitePro will model the placement of the antennas on a tower in both the horizontal and vertical plains. Further, you can model multiple towers/antennas on a rooftop to determine the affects between the antennas / towers. You can even model towers that are significant distances apart if necessary.

Worst-case scenarios are valuable to conduct quick analyses to determine potential problems. But what some software will show as a problem utilizing simplifying, worst case assumptions actually turn out not to be a problem in the real world.

ComSitePro software will allow you to conduct both worst-case scenarios in addition to the more precise, real-world scenario. Many collocation providers have found that by running the more precise analysis, they are able to add new tenants where other software solutions indicated that they couldn’t.

Question:

What do you mean by, “We provide the most detailed engineering analysis available?”

Answer:

While some companies will provide high level “worst case” overviews or will only analyze one or two modes of interference, ComSitePro does it all.

In addition to providing a concise, Microsoft Word, presentation quality report suitable for distribution to engineers, managers, city/county governments, ComSitePro creates detailed calculation reports that can be utilized for detailed engineering design and problem solving. These reports are very technical and detail all calculation data utilized during the analysis. Ask the competition to do that!!!!

Question:

Why do detailed calculation results matter? Don’t I just want to know if there will be a problem or not?

Answer:

While know there is a problem is important, knowing how to resolve it is even more important! ComSitePro provides you with the detailed information required to identify, analyze, located and resolve issues the problems that the software identifies.

Question:

Some software solutions claim to analyze all frequencies within a frequency band and will tell you how much attenuation is needed if there is a problem. Does your software do this?

Answer:

Yes, ComSitePro can analyze large selections of frequencies to determine if any potential interference issues may arise. But just determining that a potential issue exists is not enough. You need to know where the problem exists, (what channel(s), which receiver) and to see the detailed calculations that show the problem in order to determine if you can quickly and cheaply solve the problem. Further, you need to be able to conduct this analysis using three-dimensional modeling techniques in order to more accurately represent the real world configuration. Quick studies that don’t take into account this type of data may show problems that under more accurate studies are found not to exists, thus allowing you to add more tenants to your tower without fear of interference issues.

Question:

What are the modes of various modes of interference that ComSitePro Analyzes?

Answer:

ComSitePro will analyze for Six Major Modes of Interference!

Transmitter Noise
Receiver Desensitization
Transmitter Intermodulation
Receiver Intermodulation
Transmitter Harmonics
Transmitter Spurious Output

Question:

I need to be able to perform detailed engineering based upon the results of analysis. Does your software provide detailed results in addition to the concise, summary report?

Answer:

Absolutely! Don’t be fooled by competitors who may provide high level summary reports that show only the most basic of information. Our reports not only show you that there is a problem, but will also show you what equipment the problem is on and the engineering calculations done that predict the problem. This is extremely useful in determining how to solve the problem.

Question:

Can I add antenna and filter patterns if I can’t find a particular model in your software?

Answer:

Absolutely, ComSitePro allows you to import custom antenna and filter patterns into the software.

Question:

Does the Intermodulation Analysis limit the number of transmitter frequencies to 5?

Answer:

When you set up the IM analysis, you can choose from one to five simultaneous transmitters mixing. If you choose five transmitters, the analysis first creates a “Hit List” which will involve all frequencies at the site and will step through every frequency in groups of 5 at a time (5 simultaneous transmitters).

The analysis takes each frequency at the site and combines it with a group of 4 other frequencies to determine if there are any IM products with this set of frequencies. It then takes the next group of frequencies and performs the same analysis. This process continues until all possible groups of frequencies have been analyzed.

For example, if you had a site with 7 frequencies and the channel labels are A through G, the analysis would look at the following grouping of frequencies.

A, B, C, D, E
A, B, C, D, F
A, B, C, D, G
A, B, C, E, F
A, B, C, E, G
A, B, C, F, G
A, B, D, E, F
A, B, D, F, G
A, C, D, F, G
A, D, E, F, G
etc.

This stepping through of frequencies would continue until all possible combinations are analyzed.
